Objectives Include:
-Learn/Review Core Motivational Interviewing Techniques for Substance Use Disorder Clients
-Navigate Resistance and Build Engagement
-Build and Strengthen Motivation for Recovery

This course meets criteria for 3 hours of general continuing education by the Oklahoma Board of Behavioral Health for Oklahoma LPC and LMFT license holders, by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers (provider #20250088) for Oklahoma LCSW license holders, by the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselors (certificate #20250018) for LADC and CADC license holders (3 hours SPECIFIC CEs), and for Oklahoma case managers (strength-based).

Jamie LoVecchio, LADC
Jamie (she/ her) is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor with 18 years of experience in the mental health and addictions field. She received her B.S. in Psychology and M.Ed. in Community Counseling from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She owns and operates LoVecchio’s Office, LLC (est. 2008) and is the executive director of Directions, Inc., a 501(c)(3) that provides ADSAC (alcohol and drug education) courses to her Western Oklahoma community. She is passionate about helping people grow, heal, and evolve. One her most recent endeavors includes becoming an adjunct professor at Cameron University where she currently teaches course in the graduate program for the Dept. of Psychology (Go, Aggies). Jamie loves to learn, and you can often find her attending webinars, conferences, or asking for book or podcast recommendations that benefit her clients, her community, and her continued growth. Jamie also loves to dance and teaches weekly fitness classes at Crunch in Yukon.
