On July 19, 2021, during a regular meeting of the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, the board voted to extend it's waiver of in-person continuing education and supervision requirements.

Citing continued concern over the COVID-19 virus and the Delta variant, the board decided to allow CEUs and LADC candidate supervision to be conducted online until June 30, 2022.

The vote allows Oklahoma LADCs and CADCs to meet their continuing education requirements by attending live and on demand online workshops.

The OBLADC first voted to waive in-person requirements during their board meeting on July 20, 2020, thereby allowing live online CEU workshops to count as "in-person" CEUs for Oklahoma LADCs and CADCs.

The Oklahoma Counseling Institute is an approved CEU provider for the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors and currently has on-demand CEUs available for Oklahoma LADCs and CADCs.
